The IS 187 PTO serves as a catalyst for maintaining the warm, nurturing, inclusive community which is so important to educating our children.

Our PTO’s Focus

• Supporting talks and presentations that open new perspectives for our children and parents

• Supporting purchases of equipment and materials that are not funded by the Department of Education

• Supporting social events and milestones our children go through, such as graduation and senior dance

• Ensuring every child can participate in enriching activities such as school trips

• We also do a great deal of fundraising in support of our educational programs and community building.
